MSA Dep. KKPA 13/2009

One of the most outstanding works of late medieval religious art is the monstrance of the Treasury of St Peter and Alexander. Its body, constructed of rock crystal, displayed the consecrated host and therefore the “Body of Christ”.

It is believed that this precious work was produced in a workshop in the Rhineland region.
