Entry

The new exhibition rooms are located on Floor 2 of the museum and can only be reached via modern and wide flights of stairs. Unfortunately there is no wheelchair access to Floor 2. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Car Parking

Car set-down-point right outside the building, no permanent parking possible.

3 parking spaces for disabled visitors are situated in front of the town hall (100m). Underground car park Theaterplatz, (6 disabled parking spaces, open 24 hours, 200m).

Access to the mezzanine is via 8 steps.
Floor 1: reachable via two flights of stairs with 6 and 12 steps.
Floor 2 (current exhibitions, permanent collection): reachable via two flights of stairs with 10 steps.
Note that not all the areas in the museum have been made accessible for wheelchair users. Two rooms on the first floor can be accessed via a ramp and the vestibule of the Stiftskirche. Access to the remaining rooms is difficult due to the narrow architecture of the building and steps between some of the rooms. Unfortunately the second floor of the museum is not accessible to wheelchair users at the moment.

Assistance

at the museum entrance, Stiftsplatz 1a, reached via 4 steps. Please ring the bell and inform staff via the intercom about any assistance required.
